Carnoustie invaded
by would be tamers
Amateur golfers from
all over the world are desperate to tame the course that made a monkey
of the world's best.
Hotels in Carnoustie
have been flooded with bookings in the wake of the Open Championship which
reduced hardened pros almost to gibbering wrecks.
"Carnoustie has been
put back on the map," said tourism chief Colin Smith. "Golfers from around
the world want a chance to tame The Beast.
"The whingeing of
many of the top golfers has heightened the temptation for people to come
and see for themselves just how difficult Carnoustie is."
