Tiger Woods has promised to help
raise funds at a charity tournament in Taiwan next month aimed at raising
$10 million to aid victims of September's earthquake.
The event has replaced the Asian
Tour-sanctioned Johnnie Walker classic and will be played over the Ta Shee
course, less than 80 km from the devastated epicentre zone.
Organisers said Woods had agreed
to appear and will play nine holes with Taiwan President Lee Teng-hui.
The world number one will also auction his clubs and run a golf clinic.
Ernie Els, Vijay Singh, Jim Furyk and Nick Faldo had also confirmed their appearance, organisers added.
