Australians Grant
Dodd, John Senden and Brett Partridge shared the lead after the first round
of the Coolum Classic today.
The trio had 5-under
par 67s, one shot better than American Chad Wright, who shot a 68, along
with six others. Tournament favorite Craig Parry and American Jim Benepe
were at 69.
Partridge missed a
short putt on the last green that would have given him the outright lead.
Two weeks ago, Partridge missed a similar putt on the 72nd hole of the
ANZ Players Championship that would have put him into a playoff with Brett
Rumford and Craig Spence.
"It was an interesting
day to say the least," said Partridge. "I had heaps of chances but things
happen, they happen to the best players in the world."
