Casey & Dyson in final of English Amateur

Paul Casey will meet fellow seed Simon Dyson in tomorrow's 36-hole final of the English Amateur Championship at St Mellion.

Dyson wrapped up his place with a 2 and 1 victory over fellow Yorkshireman Jonathan Lupton, but Casey made hard work of dispatching boy international Jamie Elson in a match that went to the 19th.

Casey, the Surrey 21-year-old who spent two years developing his game at the Arizona State University, will not want reminding that he should have won much more easily.
