Faldo is Britain's richest sportsman

According to this weeks Sunday Times, golfer Nick Faldo is Britain's richest sportsman with assets totalling £45 million.

The six time major winner is £15 million ahead of second place, boxer Lennox Lewis, who by next years list may be somwhat closer if he beats Evander Holyfield in his world championship bout next week.

The list does not include retired sports stars such as Nigel Mansell or Frank Bruno, but does include fellow golfers Colin Montgomerie and Ian Woosnam.
