Brad
Faxon out for 2 months following fall
Brad Faxon will be sidelined
six to eight weeks after falling from a ladder in the backyard of his Barrington,
R.I., home.
He landed awkwardly on his
left wrist.
The mishap occurred over
the weekend and will leave Faxon in a cast for several weeks, according to Greg
Able of Pros Inc.
The five-time PGA Tour winner
is regarded as one of the best putters on tour. His last victory came at the
1997 Freeport-McDermott Classic. Faxon was a member of the last two U.S. Ryder
Cup teams.
Faxon and fellow New Englander
Billy Andrade have raised more than $1.65 million for children's charities in
Rhode Island and Massachusetts. The duo hosts an annual pro-am at Wannamoisett
Country Club in Rumford, R.I.
