Frank Nobilo and Phil
Tataurangi have withdrawn from the Dunhill Cup, replaced Monday by Michael
Campbell and Michael Long.
Long and Campbell
will join Greg Turner on the team representing New Zealand at the event
at St. Andrews, Scotland, Oct. 7-10.
Long has withdrawn
from the World Cup in Malaysia in November and has been replaced by Stephen
Scahill, who will join Nobilo to make up the New Zealand team at the World
Cup.
Tataurangi pulled
out to concentrate fully on retaining his playing rights on the PGA Tour.
He made the decision
after finishing 51st in the B.C. Open last week which left him 138th on
the money list with $232,078. He needs to finish among the top 125 to retain
his card.
Nobilo has also been
struggling to retain his U.S. tour card, sitting 149th on the money list
entering the Texas Open.
He didn't give any
reason to the New Zealand PGA for his withdrawal.
