Rae appointed president of the Australian Golf Union
The AGU have announced that
Len Rae, from Tasmania, is to become the
new President of the Australian Golf Union, succeeding Dr David Cherry. The pesidency
is determined on a rotational basis, each of the six Australian states holding
office for a one year term. Rae, a native of Sydney, has been an executive committee
member of the Tasmanian council for over 20 years and was president during 1984-1986..
The new Vice President is from New South Wales, Bruce Nairn. Roger Hunt is to
fill the position of Australian Team Manager that was recently relinquished by
Nairn.
