Two-time USA Solheim
Cup team captain Judy Rankin has been awarded the prestigious Patty Berg
Award for 1999.
The award, set up in 1979 by the LPGA board of directors, honours LPGA
founder Berg.
Rankin, a 26-time winner on the LPGA Tour, said: "It means the world to
me to win this award. Patty was the first woman professional golfer I met
as a child so it is very important to me."
