Tom Watson led all players with25points
andguidedtheSenior PGA Tour team to a win Tuesday in the eighth-
annual Three-Tour Challenge at the Reflection Bay Golf ClubnearLas
Vegas.
Hale Irwin scored 20 points and JackNicklauspitchedinwith
18.5 for a total of 63.5 points for the three-man Senior team.
The defending champion Senior Team became the first towinthis
eventfourtimes.Irwin,Gil Morgan and Larry Nelson comprised the
winning trio in 1998.
Justin Leonard collected 18 points as the PGA Tour teamfinished
second with 50 points. Lee Janzen had 16.5 points and Tom Lehman added
15.5.
Karrie Webb and Juli Inkster bothhad17.5pointsandDottie
Pepperscored13.5 as the LPGA Tour team finished in last place with
48.5 points.
The threesomes that competed were made up of one player from each
tour.
Each hole in this 18-hole, made-for-television event,wasworth
threepoints.The winner of the hole collected two points for his or
her team, with the remaining point going to the runner-up. In the case
of ties, the points were evenly divided.
The winning team collected $300,000 of the $651,000 purse.
