Westwood rues missed Masters
chance
Lee Westwood admits he is
still regretting his missed Masters opportunity after arriving in Asia for the
Macau Open.
Westwood finished sixth
at Augusta - his highest placing in a Major - but said he was still not content
with his final performance.
"I was a little bit
disappointed with my finish in the US Masters," Westwood admitted.
"You don't realise
how hard Amen corner is until you are in that position.
"I always wondered why they
said the Masters started on the back nine, now I know why."
Westwood bogeyed 10, double
bogeyed 11 and bogeyed 12 at Augusta in the final round after having jointly
held the lead through the turn.
He added: "They really
are a tough stretch of holes especially when something is on it.
"You start to feel a bit
sick. Next time I am in that position it will be easier."
