South African Jean Hugo claimed
his first victory in only his fifth tournament as a professional
when he won the Southern Africa Tour's Zimbabwe Open by two
shots at the Chapman Golf Club on Sunday.
A four-under par 68 in the final round saw Hugo, who
received a sponsor's invitation to this event, finish the
72-hole tournament on 17-under par 271.
Fellow South Africans filled the next two places with Ulrich
van den Berg shooting a 70 for 273 and Hennie Otto third on 274
following a final round 67.
Hugo and Van den Berg had started the final day as joint
leaders on 13-under.
