Adam Scott back to World Number 3
Adam Scott produced a final round of six-under-par 66 to clinch
a three-stroke victory over countryman Stuart Appleby and American
Bubba Watson at the Shell Houston Open. The win takes Scott back
to World Number Three which equals the highest World Ranking of
his career first achieved at the beginning of 2007.
Pablo Martin-Benavides made history at The Estoril Open de Portugal
when he became the first amateur to win on the PGA European Tour
International schedule. The Spanish player jumps to World Number
280 from a previously unranked position. He began the week in 11th
place on the World Amateur Golf Ranking, as position sure to improve
after this unique victory.
Omar Uresti won the Livermore Valley Wine Country Championship
with a level par score of 288 which earned a two-shot victory over
the Course at Wente Vineyards which lived up to its reputation as
the toughest test on the Nationwide Tour. Uresti climbs 79 places
to World Number 204.
