Chopra's first PGA title breaks into world top 150

The final groups at the Ginn sur Mer Classic at Tesoro had to return on Monday to finish and it was Daniel Chopra who emerged victorious for his maiden PGA Tour win by a single stroke from Shigeki Maruyama and Fredrik Jacobson. A birdie on the 16th gave Chopra the lead and he closed with two pars for the title. The win moves Chopra up 61 places to World Number 141.

Frenchman Grégory Bourdy carded a final round 67 for a 12 under par total of 268 and a two shot victory over England’s Sam Little at the Mallorca Classic at Pula GC. This maiden European Tour victory takes Bourdy to World Number 129 an improvement of 91 positions.

Frankie Minoza won for a second time in 2007 as he collected the ABC Championship on the Japan PGA Tour, defeating Lee Dong-Hwan in a play-off. Minoza climbs 63 places in the Official World Golf Ranking to 170.

The Pertamina Indonesia President Invitational on the Asian Tour was won by Juvic Pagunsan from the Philippines who moves up 165 places to World Number 234.

Marc Turnesa won the Miccosukee Championship, the final full-field event of the season on the Nationwide Tour. As well as securing his place on the PGA Tour for the 2008 season he climbs to World Number 249 an upward move of 214 positions.

Michael Lorenzo-Vera was crowned the King of the European Challenge Tour winning both the final tournament and the Challenge Tour Rankings. His win at the Apulia San Domenico Grand Final takes him to World Number 149 a jump of 61 spots.
