Tim Finchem's father dies

The father of PGA Tour commissioner Tim Finchem has died.

Harold Finchem died peacefully in his sleep Sunday in Virginia Beach, Va. He was 88.

Despite the loss of his father, Finchem traveled to Mexico on Tuesday for the debut of the Mayakoba Golf Classic. He then went to the Accenture Match Play Championship on Wednesday and was on the first tee as the 64-man field teed off.

Services were expected to be this weekend in Virginia.
