Stewart Cink hits career-high world no. 6

Stewart Cink hung on for his fifth career win - and the first since 2004 - at the Travelers Championship with a final round of three-under-par 67 in Cromwell, Connecticut, finishing at 18-under and winning by a single stroke over 2007 champion Hunter Mahan and Tommy Armour III. Cink moves to world number 6, a career high and an improvement of 6 positions on the week.

Martin Kaymer became the first German to win the BMW International Open in its 20 year history after bravely holding off Dane Anders Hansen in a play-off at Golfclub München Eichenried. The 2007 European Tour Rookie of the year climbs 11 places to world number 30.

Prayad Marksaeng from Thailand won the Gate Way To The Open Mizuno Open Yomiuri Classic on the Japan Golf Tour and earned a spot in the 137th Open Championship in the process. The win moves Marksaeng up 11 positions to world number 70.

This week's other winners were Jarrod Lyle at the Knoxville Open on the Nationwide Tour, David Horsey at the Telenet Trophy on the European Challenge Tour and Adam Speirs at the Greater Vancouver Charity Classic on the Canadian Tour.
