PGA win lifts Paul Casey to world no. 3
Paul Casey won the BMW PGA Championship over the West Course at Wentworth Club by a single stroke from Wentworth Scholarship Graduate Ross Fisher with 3 birdies in the final 4 holes. The win takes Casey to world no. 3, an improvement of 4 positions, making him the highest ranked Englishman since Nick Faldo in November 1996. Fisher climbs 17 places into 22nd.
Rory Sabbatini won the HP Byron Nelson Championship with a closing 6-under 64 to finish
two shots ahead of Bran Davis, setting a new tournament record at 19-under 261 for his fifth PGA Tour victory. Sabbatini climbs 13 spots to world no. 27th, while Davis rises 42 into 107th.
