Tiger extends his lead once again

Tournament host Tiger Woods saw off defending champion Anthony Kim and held off a last-round charge from Hunter Mahan to win the AT&T National at Congressional Country Club. Woods collected his third victory of the year having won Arnold Palmer's event at Bay Hill in March and Jack Nicklaus's Memorial last month, by winning his own tournament by one stroke from Mahan with a final-round, three-under-par 67. Woods increases his lead at the top of the Official World Golf Ranking to 2.82 average points.

Martin Kaymer defeated Lee Westwood in an exciting play-off to capture the Open de France ALSTOM. Westwod's magnificent final round 65 forced an sudden death play-off as both men finished 13 under for the week at Le Golf National. Returning to the 18th Westwood found water with his second and Kaymer secured the title with a par 4. Kaymer climbs 9 places to World Number 19 with Westwood up a place to World Number 18. A tied 13th finish for 2010 European Ryder Cup captain Colin Montgomerie has brought him back into the world top 200 - at no. 200- a rise of 11 places.

This week's other winners were Peter Baker at the Credit Suisse Challenge on the Challenge Tour and James Hahn at the TELUS Edmonton Open on the Canadian Tour.
