Dustin Johnson enters world top 50

Dustin Johnson won the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am after Monday's final round was cancelled due to inclement weather, the final round of the event having been first called off on Sunday as wind and rain lashed the course. Johnson had carded rounds of 65, 69 and 67 over the Pebble Beach, Spyglass Hill and Poppy Hills courses for a four stroke advantage over Mike Weir with Retief Goosen a stroke further back. Johnson jumps into the World Top 50 with a 74 place improvement to World Number 45.

Anthony Kang of the United States ended an eight year victory drought by rolling home a short birdie putt at the final hole to emerge from a tightly bunched field for a one stroke victory at the Maybank Malaysian Open. Kang began the final round two shots behind overnight leader Adam Blyth of Australia but closed with a five under par 67 at Saujana Golf and Country Club’s Palm Course to win the event which is co-sanctioned by The European Tour and the Asian Tour. Kang climbs 173 places to World Number 145.

Anders Hansen shot a seven-under-par 65 to finish on 18-under 270 to cruise home ahead of Charl Schwartzel and Canada’s Graham DeLaet at the Vodacom Championship on the Sunshine Tour. Hansen climbs 14 places to World Number 51 and along with Schwartzel (67th to 63rd) earns a spot in the WGC Accenture Match Play.
