Ogilvy up to world no. 4 with Match Play victory

Geoff Ogilvy won the World Golf Championships - Accenture Match Play for the second time in four years with a 4 and 3 victory over Paul Casey. Ogilvy, the 2006 champion and 2007 runner-up, displayed his match play prowess in the 36 hole final to pick up a cheque for US$1,400,000.

The victory was the Australian's third World Golf Championships title, sixth US PGA Tour victory and fourth European Tour win. The win takes Ogilvy up four places to fourth in the Official World Golf Ranking, while Casey moves up ten spots to world number 13.

On the PGA Tour, Mark Wilson won the Mayakoba Golf Classic by two strokes from JJ Henry and moves into the top 100 at no. 92 from 150th.

Thongchai Jaidee won the European/Asian Tour co-sanctioned Enjoy Jakarta Indonesia Open by two shots from Steve Webster, Simon Dyson and Alexander Noren for a record 11th Asian Tour title and his first European tour win in four years. He climbs 17 places to world number 71.
