2000 Masters Field
A total of 102 players have
been invited to the 2000 Masters Tournament, to be held April 6-9 at the Augusta
National Golf Club. The list includes 67 U.S. and 35 international players. Among
those are six amateurs (three U.S. and three international golfers) and 14 first-time
participants. The 35 international invitees are the most ever at The Masters,
eclipsing the total of 29 established in 1998 and 1999. A total of 95 of the
102 invitees are expected to compete.
The past champions who
are not expected to compete are George Archer, Jack Burke Jr., Bob Goalby, Herman
Keiser, Byron Nelson, Sam Snead, and Art Wall Jr.
