Event Format
Five foursomes (alternate shot) matches will be played on the afternoon of the first day -- Thursday, October 19. Five four-ball matches will be played on Friday morning, Oct. 20, with five more foursomes matches being played in the afternoon. Five additional four-ball matches will be played on Saturday, Oct. 21, and 12 singles matches will be played on Sunday, Oct. 22.
All matches are worth one point for the winning team, while a halved match is worth 1/2 point for each team. A total of 32 matches will be played for a total of 32 points.
Each singles match is played to conclusion as needed. No singles matches will be halved until one team has won 16 1/2 points and the overall victory -- after which the remaining singles matches may be halved after 18 holes and result in a 1/2 point for each team.
If the overall team score is deadlocked at the end of singles play, there will be a sudden-death playoff between two players designated in advance by the respective captains.
