Construction began on Loch Lomond Golf Club in 1989 and the first round of golf was played in 1992. Situated on a 650-acre estate of woodland on the banks of Loch Lomond, the Weiskopf/Morris design recently was ranked 39th among the top 100 golf courses in the world by GOLF MAGAZINE.
In addition, the clubhouse is a restored 18th century Georgian mansion called Rossdhu House. Loch Lomond Golf Club is owned by Lyle Anderson Company and DMB, a UK registered company with American ownership. Previous championships that have been held at Loch Lomond include the 1996 Loch Lomond World Invitational, the 1997 Gulfstream World Invitational, won by Tom Lehman, and the 1998 Standard Life Loch Lomond Invitational, won by Lee Westwood.
