With a 5 under

rounds of the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic. His three round score of
23 under 193 broke the previous 54-hole record of 195, which was

place at 19 under.
The leading
European Miguel Angel Jimenez is 5 strokes back on 18 under par
twelve strokes better than former Masters Champion and fellow Spaniard
Jose Maria Olazabal.
The Bob Hope
Chrysler Classic is the only PGA Tour event that is played on four
courses: the PGA West Course (Arnold Palmer Private Course), Indian
Wells Country Club, Bermuda Dunes Country Club and LaQuinta Country
Club.
The format
for the event is pro-am play for the first 72 holes. Each golfer
will play with a threesome of amateurs on each of the four courses
until Sunday when the professionals in the top-70 and ties move
to the Palmer Private Course to complete the tournament.
