The winner of the 83rd PGA Championship
on Sunday will go home with $936,000 from a purse of $5.2 million.
The total purse is a $200,000 increase
from last year's event when Tiger Woods won his second straight PGA Championship.
The second place finisher will receive
$562,000 and the third place finisher will collect $354,000.
The field of 150 features 95 of
the top 100 players on the Official World Golf Ranking. As long as there are no
withdrawals, Sunday's field will surpass its 1999 record of 92 world-ranked players.
A total of 49 players from 19 countries
will be competing at Atlanta Athletic Club.
