Christian Cevear and Anders Hansen shared the first-round lead at the Dutch Open on Thursday, both shooting 6-under 65s despite wind and rain.
Both started on the back nine, and Cevear birdied the third, fourth and fifth holes and added another on the seventh. Hansen bogeyed the 18th but eagled the second, and finished with a birdie.
Robert Rock and Markus Brier were tied for third at 5 under, while a group of four were a stroke behind.
David Park (67) played one of the best shots of the day, chipping in for birdie after missing the green at the par-3 eighth.
Defending champion Gonzalo Fernandez Castano had a 4-over 75. He double-bogeyed the second hole and had a string of bogeys on the back nine. Colin Montgomerie finished at 70.
