Spain's Ignacio Garrido hit five birdies in 11 holes to jump into the clubhouse lead Friday at the rain-soaked Dutch Open.
Organizers suspended play after thundershowers twice delayed the second round.
Garrido was 5 under with seven holes to finish in the second round, and 8 under for the tournament with a two-stroke lead.
First round co-leader Christian Cevaer of France, who also played only 11 holes Friday, dropped into a second-place tie with Denmark's Soren Kjeldsen at 6-under 136 overall.
Anders Hansen of Denmark, Thursday's other co-leader, shot a 6-under 65, tied for fourth at 5 under with Damien McGrane of Ireland.
European Ryder Cup leader Colin Montgomerie had three birdies in four holes on the back nine to improve to 1 under overall. He'll have two holes to complete when play resumes Saturday.
