American widlcard Scott Verplank, playing in the final singles match of the day, registered a Ryder Cup hole-in-one on Sunday.
Verplank used a three-iron to ace the 213-yard 14th hole on his way to a 4&3 win over Irishman Padraig Harrington.
It was the second hole-in-one in two days following Briton Paul Casey's effort on the same hole in Saturday's foursomes.
Verplank's effort was the sixth ace in the biennial team competition but the first by an American.
His victory over Harrington meant Verplank became the only American to claim a 100 percent record this week, having played two games and won two but he was frustrated to have been used so lightly having been selected as a captain's pick.
It was the first singles defeat in Harrington's four-match Ryder Cup career.
