Retief Goosen snatches win with 72nd hole eagle

South African Retief Goosen won the Qatar Masters in spectacular manner on Sunday by holing a 50-foot putt for eagle at the final hole.

Goosen came from a stroke behind Australia's Nick O'Hern to win by one shot with a final round 69 for a 15-under par tally.

O'Hern headed to the final hole leading by one and after finding the rough with his drive he had no option but to scramble his way up the fairway and two-putt for a par to end with a 70 and a 14-under tally.

South African world number five Ernie Els was in third place on 13-under par after his round of 67.

Three players shared fourth place on 12-under par - Northern Ireland's Graeme McDowell (67) and the Australian pair of Stuart Appleby (66) and Richard Green (72).
