Stuart Little leads as rain hits play again

England's Stuart Little shot a 3-under 69 on Friday to take a one-stroke lead in the rain-plagued Spanish Open.

The rain that soaked the Centro Nacional de Golf course on Thursday, returned Friday, allowing only 38 of the 155-man field to complete 36 holes.

Little had an 8-under 136 total.

"This is only my fifth tournament of the year, so to play like this so far is absolutely fantastic," Little said.

South Africa's Charl Schwartzel (68) and Englishmen Mark Foster (69) and Nick Dougherty (71) were in the clubhouse at 7 under.

First-round leader Gregory Bourdy of France, who opened with a 5-under 67, was among those who did not tee off. American Notah Begay, Spain's Luis Claverie and England's Graeme Storm were at 4 under and also will start their second rounds Saturday.
