Chilean Felipe Aguilar shot a solid third-round 67 to stay two strokes clear in the Indonesia Open at 16 under par on Saturday.
Aguilar, world number 186, failed to reproduce the sparkling form which brought an eight-under-par 62 on Friday but played steadily to remain on course for his first European Tour victory in the co-sanctioned event.
He started poorly with a bogey at the first hole but it was the only blemish in a round which included an eagle at the par-five ninth and two birdies.
China's Liang Wenchong, the Asian Tour order of merit leader, and Indian Jeev Milkha Singh were tied for second on 14 under after rounds of 64 and 65 respectively.
South African James Kamte and Thailand's Prom Meesawat were a shot further back in fourth.
Holder Mikko Ilonen of Finland struggled to a one-over-par 71 and a five-under total of 205, level with European Ryder Cup stalwart Darren Clarke of Northern Ireland.
