James Morrison wins with final hole birdie

England’s James Morrison won the Madeira Islands Open on Sunday for his first European Tour title, birdieing the final hole for a 2-under 70 and a one-stroke victory over countryman Oliver Fisher.

Morrison, 25, had a 20-under 268 total on the Seve Ballesteros-designed Porto Santo course that features 150-meter) 500-foot seaside cliffs.

Fisher closed with a 65. Scotland’s George Murray (73) was third at 14 under.
