After two winless years, Ernie Els claimed his second World Golf Championship by four shots from compatriot Charl Schwartzel, closing with a fine 66 in windy conditions. Els moves up 26 places into third, while Steve Stricker and Camilo Villegas, who tied for 16th, take over the top two spots.

Rookie Derek Lamely won the weather-delayed Puerto Rcio Open in only his twelfth ever PGA Tour start and climbs 98 places to 27th.
