Open returns to Druids Glen next year Druids
Glen, Dublin - The Irish Open will return to the Druids Glen course in
County Wicklow for a fourth successive staging next year, organisers said on Friday.
"We are
very happy with the way Druids Glen has matured and the way it gets the best out
of golfers," said Marien Kakebeeke, managing director of the event's sponsors.
"But it is not a signal that we have found a permanent base." Five-times
European number one Colin Montgomerie won the first two Irish Opens at Druids
Glen and leads this year's tournament after an opening six-under-par 65. |
