wilts in Australian sun Adelaide,
Australia - Justin Rose suffered more disappointment to end 11 shots
off the pace after the first round of the Australasian PGA Tour's South Australian
Open in Adelaide. Australian
Rookie professional Jarrod Moseley shot a six-under par 66 on the tough Kooyonga
course to take the lead. Rose, who finished fourth in the Open at Royal Birkdale
earlier this year, could only manage a five-over par 77 and will struggle to make
the cut. It is
another blow for the teenager from Hampshire, who has performed poorly in tournaments
since turning professional after the Open. He
accepted an offer to play in Australia to help him try to earn his European Tour
card.
