to miss defence of Australian Open for place at Sun CityLondon
- Lee Westwood who finished third in the European Order of Merit this week
has been invited to take part in the Million Dollar Challenge at Sun City next
month. It means
he will not be defending the Australian Open title he won in a sudden-death playoff
against Greg Norman last year. He
will however attempt to win his third successive Visa Taihei yo Masters during
a two-week trip to Japan. He will follow this with the wedding of his fiancé's
brother, Andrew Coltart, before flying out to South Africa. The
rest of the field for the Million Dollar Challenge consists of Tiger Woods, Ernie
Els, David Duval, Mark O'Meara, Colin Montgomerie, Nick Price, Jim Furyk, Justin
Leonard, Davis Love III, Jesper Parnevik and Bernhard Langer.
