Arruti wins rookie event by two shots

Scotland's Dale Reid fired a two-under-par 70 to finish joint runner-up in the women's Austrian Open in Graz.

Reid ended the tournament on an 11-under aggregate of 205 - two behind winner Marina Arruti of Spain and level with overnight leader Elisabeth Esterl of Germany.

Arruti secured her first victory as a professional with birdies on the final three holes, while England's Johanna Head continued her recent run of form with a three-under-par 69 for fourth place.

"I was a little annoyed with myself because I was leading with three to play but three-putted for on the 16th and 17th," said Reid.

"You can't question Marina's victory - anyone who finishes the way that she did deserves to win."

Head was also in contention following birdies at the eighth, ninth, and 10th but failed to take advantage of several birdie chances on the back straight.

"I made a bit of a charge around the turn, but then I started to play too protective." said Head.
