Tommy Horton
made a characteristic surge in the final round with five bidies over the last
six hole for a one-shot win Zeptper Monte Carlo Invitational at Mont Agel.
Horton shot a final round
68 for a winning level par 207 then looked on as both Brask and Oakley failed
on the final hole to force a playoff.
Horton who has won the money title for the past three years is now back in pole
position, this his second win of the season, leapfrogged him to the top of the
current standings.
"I
am absolutely delighted," Horton said. "It was tough for the first nine holes
with so much going on in the pro-am. But I got the putter going at the 13th with
a birdie and it set me going."
Kevin Costner won the Pro-Am with an 18 under total off a 14 handicap.
