Glen
Hnatiuk, Marco Dawson, Paul Gow and Steve Schneiter all shot six-under-par 65's
and share a one-shot lead after the opening round of the Nike Boise Open.
The four leaders came from an afternoon session that saw no hint of a strong early
morning wind. A total of 55 players are within four shots of the lead.
J.J. Henry, Rick Price,
Garrett Willis and Michael Clark are tied for fifth at five-under, while 10 more
players are just two shots off the pace.
Hnatiuk, who won the Tri-Cities Open last week, fired six birdies and no bogeys
in a solid round. Schneiter, who qualified for this tournament on Monday, took
advantage of playing this course numerous times, as he only needed 22 putts to
finish his round.
