Paul Gow fired a five-under-par 66 on Friday to remain alone atop the leaderboard
at 11-under par after two rounds of the Nike Boise Open. Marco Dawson and Curt
Byrum share second place at nine-under.
Gow began the day in a four-way tie for the lead, but quickly broke the deadlock
with birdies on his first two holes. He also holed out from a bunker for one his
six birdies on the day and made just one bogey.
Dawson, one of the four co-leaders when the second round started, shot a three-under
68 for his share of second place. Byrum shot a six-under 65 that included a hole-in-one
on the par-three eighth hole.
Glen Hnatiuk, who won last week's Tri-Cities Open, also started the day tied for
first, but carded a two-under 69 and is three off the pace at eight-under. Carl
Paulson, who two weeks ago in Utah, is among five players tied at seven-under.
Steve Schneiter,
the last of Thursday's four co-leaders, struggled to a one-over 72 and is tied
for 20th at five-under.
A total of 57 players made the three-under par cut and 31 players are within six
shots of the lead.
