Three on top in South Dakota

Ryan Howison, Carl Paulson and Brian Claar are tied atop the leaderboard at 12-under-par after two rounds of the $350,000 Nike Dakota Dunes Open. Two other players are one shot back of the lead.

Claar had the low round of the day with a nine-under-par 63. Paulson and Howison, who finished second to John Maginnes in last year's tournament, shot identical seven-under 65s to grab a share of the lead.

Craig Kanada and Bobby Wadkins are both 11-under after two rounds, while Fran Quinn and Patrick Lee are at 10-under.

First-round leader Tim Petrovic fell apart on Friday, as he shot an even-par 72 and fell into a tie for eighth place, four shots off the pace.
