Howison claims three-shot lead at Dakota Dunes

Ryan Howison fired a seven-under-par 65 for the second consecutive day to open a three-stroke lead after 54 holes of the $350,000 Nike Dakota Dunes Open.

Howison, who was in a three-way tie atop the leaderboard after Friday's round, is at 19-under for the tournament.

"When I play a golf course well, it suits your game and you read the greens well, the next time you come out there you have good memories and thoughts," said Howison in reference to his second-place finish at this event last year.

Craig Kanada and Bobby Wadkins each carded 67s Saturday and are at minus-16 for the event. Kanada has finished in the top-10 in four of his last six events.

Four other players are within four shots of the leader. Michael Clark, Vance Veazey, Fran Quinn and Brian Claar are deadlocked at 15- under.
