Open Des Smyth of Ireland
held to a one-stroke lead in the Portuguese Open after matching par with a 72
in Friday's second round.

including Scotsman Paul Lawrie who came into this tournament after a victory in
Qatar.
England's Roger Chapman

Justin

year's British Open, started strongly but finished 4-over-par and failed to make
the cut for the 15th consecutive tournament.
