Maggert's view that America were virtual certainties to win back the Ryder Cup
was backed on Wednesday by bookmakers who have made Europe big outsiders at Brookline.

bets on them.
Europe are priced at 5-2 while a tie is 12-1.
World number one Tiger Woods is 5-2 favourite to finish top American scorer and
Colin Montgomerie is given the same price to lead the European team's points.
Magggert, a
member of the American, upset the European contingent on Tuesday by stating that
the U.S. side had the "12 best players in the world" and were unlikely to fail.
