One of the Eastern region's finest golf resorts is celebrating a ‘stroke' of luck with the recent arrival of a new Golf Manager.
Alan Battle who recently joined Barnham Broom Hotel, Golf & Restaurant near Norwich says he is looking forward to welcoming new golfers of all abilities and ages - and maybe even the next Tiger Woods!
Alan said: “I am very proud to have joined Barnham Broom. It is an absolutely superb golf venue rated amongst the best in East Anglia , and certainly the best I have had the pleasure of working for. Golfers come from all over the country to play on our two beautiful golf courses, but a nyone of any ability from beginners who can play on our academy holes to experienced scratch golfers is welcome. I truly believe that everyone can enjoy golf and who knows what it might lead to? At our golf academy we have players as young as five so you never know we might even be tutoring the next Tiger Woods! “
Alan was previously resident manager at a leading hotel and golf club in Hertfordshire where he also looked after the golf department. He will not only be overseeing Barnham Broom's two renowned18 hole courses - but also its golf shop and highly regarded golf school academy, He is responsible for 20 staff who help to maintain the high standard courses and golf facilities.
Alan added: “Non golfers as well as golfers have a wonderful time here, as they can enjoy our superb club house and facilities too. It makes for the perfect family day out as there is so much to enjoy – all in the most magnificent countryside surroundings.”
Noel Byrne, Operations Director at Barnham Broom, said: “Alan brings with him not only experience and expertise but also a great deal of enthusiasm. We are thrilled he has joined and I am confident he will build on the excellent reputation Barnham Broom has with golfers and non-golfers alike.”
