Golf offers from two of Scotland 's finest hotels

Two of Scotland's best hotels have teamed up to offer the best in golf breaks, including guaranteed tee times on the famous St Andrews Old Course ahead of the TGI Golf Show at Ingliston (2nd 3rd 4th June). Both have just under gone multi million pound refurbishments, and both offer the finest in Scottish cuisine.

The Macdonald Rusacks Hotel at St Andrews is once again offering three night winter golf packages, including guaranteed tee times on the Old Course (mid November 2006 until April 2007). The Macdonald Marine Hotel and Spa at North Berwick, is centrally placed for access to all of East Lothian 's courses. There are approximately 19 courses within a 30 mile radius of the hotel.

Packages at Macdonald Rusacks, the only hotel to overlook the first tee and the 18 th Green of the Old Course include three nights dinner bed and breakfast at the award winning hotel and golf on a different course each day with one day on the Old Course. The hotel has just benefited from a multi million pound refurbishment which includes all the public areas and the fantastic restaurant. Head Chef Craig Beedy, has a strong local influence on his cooking, using the finest local ingredients.

The Macdonald Marine Hotel and Spa has a similarly enticing location. The hotel looks out over the 16 th green and 15 th Redan of the North Berwick West Links course, one of the most copied holes in the world, beyond that is the Firth of Forth and the Bass Rock, famed for the large number of nesting seabirds that live on its steep sides. A number of ‘stay and play' packages are available and the newly built spa also offers a special ‘Golfer's Reviver' massage to sooth any aches from a day on the course. The hotel is a member of the East Lothian Alliance which helps promote golf tourism in the area building closer links between courses and local business.
