Portuguese Open to All
How would you like to watch the last two days of the Portuguese Open, play the course the following day and have the chance to win a place in the event's 2008 pro-am?
Thanks to Golf Groups Direct (GGD) you can do just that.
To celebrate the Oitavos golf course being awarded the Portuguese Open for the next three years, GGD has put together a special seven-day package, including golf on the championship links course the day after the competition.
After spending March 31 and April 1 watching the stars of the European Tour compete in the closing stages of the Portuguese Open, April 2 and 3 will see guests battle it out in the Oitavos International Pairs event.
And the 36-hole competition's prizes include places in the 2008 Portuguese Open pro-am for the top two teams.
Sean Noble, GGD's sales and marketing director, said: It's great news that Oitavos will host the Portuguese Open and we think as many people as possible should get to experience what will be a top-notch event. This is the complete golfing experience as participants can watch the pros in action, play the championship course and even win the opportunity to play it with them in next year's pro-am.
Departing on March 28 the full package includes seven-nights, twin-sharing accommodation at a choice of two hotels in the lively resort of Cascais a five-minute drive from Oitavos breakfast and car hire in addition to a place in the Oitavos International Pairs and entry to the final two days of the Portuguese Open.
Golf can also be pre-booked on 15 courses within driving distance of the resort and GGD can save customers up to 50 per cent on green fees, with prices starting from £18.
Prices, based on eight people travelling four pairs start from £345 per person, staying at the contemporary three-star Hotel da Vila, or from £376 per person at the four-star Vila Gale Village Cascais. Flights are additional and can be booked via GGD.
