Golfing breaks in Mallorca - The Sea Club, Cala Ratjada

Cala Ratjada is now only one hour on the new motorway from the airport and is close to some of the finest golf courses set in spectacular mountain scenery on the island. The medieval towns of Arte and Capdepera are close by, as are superb golden sandy beaches.

The Sea Club, a charmingly eccentric family owned and run hotel makes a peaceful and relaxing base from which to sample the four local courses. Golf Capdepera has beautiful scenery with the Arta mountains as a backdrop where the back nine holes climb into the foothills. Players seeking a greater challenge have the Alcanada course, designed by Robert Trent Jones for the more advanced and adventurous player only a short drive away on the north coast.

At The Sea Club the elegant old house, cottages and informal gardens and pool remain much as they have always been, although a recent interior refit of the rooms has added luxury to their existing character. Owners Louis Cumberledge and Jenny Saunders are still the hosts who treat their guests as family friends and guests appreciate the informal atmosphere and high quality local cuisine on offer. The hotel is now open year round and welcomes golfers looking for winter or spring breaks
